About Me
I was born outside Philadelphia and grew up in South Florida. I went to boarding school at Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts and then Wake Forest University. After college, I moved to New York City and worked in finance. I lived in NYC for three years and then moved to Charleston, South Carolina where I live now with my husband, daughter, and yellow lab. In 2017 I had my daughter and left my job after nine years to do the job I had always dreamed of--stay at home mom and homemaker!
I met my now husband in 2014 at a neighbor's house (I was actually in my pajamas and walked over with a bottle of wine and one wine glass!) When he started doing CrossFit in 2011, he went Paleo at the same time. I had gone gluten free the previous year and just needed a little nudge to go full Paleo! I've been cooking Paleo and eating cheat dinners on Friday and Saturday nights with him ever since!
We were married in Delray Beach, Florida in 2015 and welcomed our sweet little Grace in May 2017.
I have wanted to start a blog for many years but always felt it was a self-serving endeavor. Initially I wanted to blog about Paleo cooking, but after going through an eating disorder, fertility treatment, a successful pregnancy, and a subsequent miscarriage, I now hope that I can use this to provide support and comfort to others as well.
